6th grade Homework 2/25-3/1

This week we will be finishing up the ELO 6: Writing an Extended Response on Demand. Students will be writing a compare and contrast essay, thematic essay and then choosing which of the three essays they will revise to submit for their ELO 6 final essay copy. During the week, they will be revising essays by themselves as well as helping their peers revise. On Friday, the final copy of the ELO 6 will be due at the end of class.

In addition, I will beginning a short grammar unit on Wednesday and Friday. I am really looking forward to FINALLY teaching sentence structure to my students! It is my hope that by developing their writing skills through peer revision and knowledge of grammar my students can receive excellent scores on the ELA exam this year!
