Welcome to Finals Week!
Students will have final exams on Tuesday and Friday in English class.
This week students will have two exams in English class. The first final exam is a multiple choice test on Tuesday. The test contains poems and stories that students must read and answer 50 questions on main idea, inference, conflict, characterization and poetic devices. The second exam is on Friday. The test is a book 3 of the New York State ELA exam that contains two passages. Students will then plan and write an extended thematic response comparing the lessons learned from each passage. Students must review the practice tests we completed in class this week and review their notes on how to revise an extended response to receive their best score on the final exam.
Tutorials will be after school on Tuesday from 3:15-4pm. We will be studying and practicing for Friday's exam.
